TRS Georgia pays on the first business day of each month, for that month.

Next payment—

Pensions are paid in advance, so your February payment arrives at the start of February. Checks, for the few retirees still paid by mail, should arrive by the fifth business day.

When does Georgia TRS pay retirees?

TRS Georgia pays on the first business day of each month, for that month.

Why did my payment not arrive on the date shown?

Direct deposits usually post on the date shown, but some banks release funds a day later. Paper checks are mailed before the payment date and can take several days to arrive. If a payment is more than five business days late, contact the plan.

Does the December payment count for this year or next?

Georgia TRS pays the December benefit on December 31, so it counts as income for the same year.
